摘要
In this present work, we have studied the magnetic properties and magnetocaloric effect of HgCr2Se4 and CdCr2Se4 using Monte Carlo simulations with Metropolis algorithm. The transition temperatures of two systems are found for several magnetic field. The internal energy, specific heat and magnetic susceptibilities are also found. The magnetic entropy changes and relative cooling power are calculated for HgCr2Se4 and CdCr2Se4. We found that the maximum of magnetic entropy changes and relative cooling power increase with increasing the magnetic field. Magnetic hysteresis cycle for two compounds has been obtained.
