摘要
The objective of this scoping review is to map the extent and type of evidence related to genomic literacy among nurses and nursing students as well as detect evidence gaps regarding genomic literacy in the context of nursing education and practice. Titles and abstracts of primary research studies and systematic reviews will be considered eligible if they refer to genomic literacy among nurses and nursing students. Studies will be included if they are: a) available in full text, b) published in English, c) quantitative or qualitative in nature, d) include nurses and/or nursing students, e) refer to genomic literacy. The bibliographic search will be primarily conducted on PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus, and WOS electronic databases. The key words consisting of genomic literacy, genetic, nurses, and nursing students, will be combined with Boolean operators AND and OR, as appropriate. Additional search strategies including sources of grey literature, screening of reference lists included in studies, and citation searches on Scopus database will be used. Eligibility and inclusion screening as well as data extraction will be performed by two independent reviewers. Data will be summarized through tables and charts and accompanied by a descriptive.
