VNA Calibration using Coaxial Air Lines with Two Plug Connectors

摘要
In this work a two-port VNA calibration is performed using 3.5 mm coaxial air lines with plug connectors on both sides. The measurements are evaluated using a Thru-Reflect-Line calibration. Working only with plug connectors during calibration helps to minimize the connector effects and to improve the accuracy of the calibration. To be able to make a Thru connection with zero length and for the characterization of devices with a jack connector, a multi-gender test port adapter is used. The obtained measurement results are compared to a different calibration where a set of air lines with plug and jack connectors and a multi line evaluation were used.
