After discussing the relation between strain hardening laws and the cyclicbehaviour of materials,the author derived the incremental elastoplasticconstitutive equation for a combined model and suggested how to measurethe necessary material parameters for the model by simple tests.The finiteelement analysis results based on this model showed that the model cansimulate the Bauschinger effect during reversed yielding and can correctlyaccount for the effect of strain history on material cyclic characteristics.Theauthor proposed a computational method which simulates fatigue tests toobtain cyclic stress-strain curve without conducting fatigue tests.Someexperimental data have been given in the paper.The computed cyclicstress-strain curve is compared with the experimental curve and theagreement between them is excellent.
