摘要
A ballasted track of railway (Fig.1) is subjected to a cyclic load by train and ballast particles abrade away. This paper investigates a shape evaluation of abraded ballast particles and static/cyclic deformation characteristics of railroad ballast in a large triaxial test by using abraded ballast forcibly by focusing on degree of abrasion of ballast particles. It was found that the degree of abration of ballast particles affect deformation characteristics of railroad ballast significantly.
