摘要：
l-Methyl-3-ethyl imidazolium bromide[meim]Br/basic alumina（Al;O;） has been found to promote the cyclocondensation of chloroacetone/chloroethyl acetate with salicylaldehydes under conventional as well as microwave irradiation to yield benzofuran derivatives.
