摘要
Increasing energy costs in the world and in our country, the depletion of fossil fuels, the fact that the desired installed power potential in renewable energy sources has not yet been reached, dependence on foreign energy and environmental concerns have made it necessary to use energy efficiently in buildings. Especially starting from public institutions and organizations, going to the way of energy saving in all structures, efficient usage of energy and even storing the existing energy for later use will help our country to move to the top in energy efficiency and management. With the efficient usage of energy in universities, the burden of energy costs on the university budget will be alleviated, and an important step will be taken for sustainable university criteria. For this purpose, in this study, the current state of the Konya Technical University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (KTUN) building was revealed in terms of energy and its energy efficiency potential was examined. According to the results, it has been determined that the energy consumption value of the university for the year 2020-2021 is 482 and 502 Tons Equivalent Petroleum (TEP), respectively, and the annual CO2( )emissions are 135 toneq.CO2 in 2020 and 141 toneq.CO2 in 2021. In other words, these figures correspond to a carbon footprint of 1164 tons and 1215 tons, respectively. Based on the work done, studies on energy saving, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources should be started as soon as possible and necessary precautions should be taken according to energy regulations in all structures, especially in public institutions and organizations.
