摘要
Foundation: learning-to-learn skills are essential in medical students to ensure lifelong learning. Objective: to assess the feasibility and relevance of the psychoeducational intervention program to enhance the development of learning-to-learn skills in medical students. Methods: the study was developed at the Cienfuegos Medical Sciences University from January 2020 to March 2023, using a mixed sequential explanatory research design to characterize learning-to-learn skills and a single-group pre-post test pre-experiment to evaluate the results of the implementation program. A simple random probability sampling was used to characterize learning-to-learn skills and a convenience sampling for the implementation of the program. Questionnaires, focus groups, and observations of teaching activities were used to obtain information. The processing was carried out using SPSS 26.0 and ATLAS.ti software. Results: In the learning-to-learn skills characterization, the deficiencies in their formation were noted. Once the program was implemented, it was confirmed that there were statistically significant differences in the study group between the first and second application in terms of the learning-to-learn skills formation. Conclusions: The implemented psychoeducational intervention program demonstrated its effectiveness in enhancing the learning-to-learn skills formation in medical students
