摘要
Microglia are known to be involved in the modulation of amyloid-beta (A beta) plaques in Alzheimer's disease (AD). In a recent study, Jacquet et al. describe how microglia degrade larger A beta aggregates by forming lysosomal synapses, further implicating the microglial release of lysosomal A beta , amongst other processes, in the growth and spread of fibrillary A beta .
