摘要
The initial diagnosis of perceptual-motor capabilities (PMC) made by the teacher is important, since one of the frequent disorders presented in the school stage according to the scientific literature has been the developmental coordination disorder (DCD). The objective of the study was to establish the relationship between CPM and DCD in 106 elementary school children. The methodological approach was quantitative, non-experimental-correlative and a sociodemographic profile, the perceptual-motor capabilities battery (1) and the developmental coordination disorder (2) were used. In conclusion, a "low" and statistically significant positive correlation was obtained between the total sum of the PMCs and the DCD (rs= 0.358; p= 0.000), which indicates that a student who presents a low performance in perceptual capabilities may be an indicator for having a DCD.
