摘要：
Low-cost speed control measures, traffic obstacles, and speed restrictions in residential neighborhoods, have proven effective in reducing accidents within heavily built-up areas. They are used increasingly in Europe and Australia, and several are currently being tested in some U. S. jurisdictions. The article reviews some of them: road bumps; reflective lane markers; speed humps; shared traffic zones; and jalopies.
