CONTROLLING METRICATION COSTS IN A PRODUCTION FACILITY.

Introduction of a new product provided an opportunity to implement metrication cost controls in a production agency. Operational guidelines were developed, leading to the formation of a plant committee with defined metrication responsibilities. Cost control methods were devised. Identification of personnel affected, and equipment and training needs were made possible by extension of the process flow diagram concept.
