摘要
Decreasing coke burnup in the coke dry quenching device is one method of improving the technicoeconomic indices of its functioning. Unfortunately, at present there is no standard method of calculating coke burnup. As a result, it is not possible to effect a thorough analysis of the efficiency of the functioning of either individual dry coke quenching device (DCQD) chambers or the devices in general. It is found, based on experimental results, that the burnup of the coke in a DCQD essentially depends on the design shortcomings of some of its units. Hermetically sealing a chamber by sheathing it with metal, and replacing the first and second gates for discharging the coke with sectional ones made it possible to considerably decrease the burnup of the coke when cooling it is a DCQD.
