Improvements of dry quenching plants constructions are designed to eliminate the main disadvantages: large plant sizes, high consumption of materials, high unit electric energy consumption, high dust content in circulating gas, high contents of combustible CO, H2, and CH4 (10-18%) components in circulating gas. The pilot dry quenching plant block has been developed. Detailed description of its construction and its individual units is given. The tests have shown its effectiveness, and developments of high productivity blocks as well as reconstructions of existing blocks are effective.
