A flexible electrical connector that has low resistivity and can carry high currents is described. Vacuum systems and other gas-enclosed processing equipment sometimes must be provided with internal heaters or other power consuming components that must be movable. It is pointed out how a novel flexible but robust connector with high current, low resistivity and relatively low surface area can be made by using a multilayer structure of alternating layers of 3-mil copper foil (for maximum conductivity) and 5-mil brass foil (for ability to flex repeatedly and have moderate conductivity) arranged so the stack of smooth, wrinkle-free foils always has a brass foil on the top and bottom.
