Thick-film polyurethane coatings are being used on applications to protect against corrosion and to provide nonstick release characteristics. Applications include railroad hopper car interiors, snow plows, snow blowers, asphalt truck beds, stress sweepers, street sand spreaders, sewer trucks, power plants, tanks, piping, structural steel, waste treatment facilities paper mills, pylons, docks and bridges. These are 100% solids two-component coatings consisting of the polyol and the isocyanate. No solvent is used in either component. The absence of solvent increases the chemical resistance. made according to controlled and predetermined schedules.
