摘要：
The influence of cutting speed on tool life is most significant. Usually it is assumed that tool life will distinctly decrease as cutting speed increases. However, this decrease is not continuous; tool life shows at least one marked extreme. This is why over a wide range it cannot be described by the Taylor equation.
