Various papers contain analyses of signal processing systems and measurements of the phase relations of signals in a two-channel system, for an estimate of the measurement accuracy and noise immunity of the processing algorithms of which it is necessary to know at least the two-dimensional probability characteristics of the distributions of zero-crossings of the mixture of signal and noise. In this paper, exact expressions are obtained for calculating the conditional time density of the probability of the crossing of a given level H by an additive mixture of a sinusoidal signal and noise in two channels in the neighborhoods of different instants of time.
