摘要：
Injecting a controlled stream of an inert gas into the molten metal in the refractory loop of a channel induction furnace reduces the build-up of oxides in the channel and, thus, the need for time-consuming dross removal operations. After being demonstrated successfully on a laboratory scale, channel injection is now being used on an industrial scale in a die casting foundry.
