摘要：
The state of the art is discussed and the advantages of diamond abrasive over silicon carbide are pointed out first. Machinery requirements are indicated and typical operations such as gang sawing, finishing with radial arm polishers, etc, described. Cutting conditions for granite, marble, limestone and sandstone are considered.
