摘要
The development of fire-resistive hydraulic oils is presented. Three commercially available biodegradable base stocks namely polyglycols, polyol esters and triglycerides or vegetable oils to be used as hydraulic oil are discussed. Two hydraulic fluids which are vegetable oils derived fire-resistant hydraulic fluids are developed. These oils along with additives enhances corrosion protection, oxiditive inhibition and metal passivation. It is also found that fire-resistant fluids based on naturally occurring triglycerides performs good in terms of lubricity and oxidation stability.
