Scientists in the U. S. Solar Energy Research Institute's Solar Thermal Technology Program are conducting innovative research on Direct Absorption Receivers (DAR). Such receivers may provide the key to significantly reducing the cost of delivered solar thermal energy and thus play an important part in the USA's future energy supply.
