摘要
A description is given of a Kashifuji carbide hobbing machine which is capable of producing a gear three to six times faster than with a high speed steel hob, while ensuring three to five times longer tool life between sharpenings. The features of the machine which make this possible are a directly driven hob spindle, worktable backlash compensation, machine rigidity, the use of two coolant systems, and careful design of the carbide hob itself.
