摘要
The flow field for a ventilated plane jet attaching to a plane parallel wall has been experimentally investigated using pitot tubes, hot-wire anemometry and Preston tubes. The mean flow field has been extensively explored and is found to be largely self preserving in nature. The transfer of momentum and wall shear stresses are discussed. The results of studies with the Preston tube are presented and compared with data in the literature.
