摘要
The correct design and operation of coaxial-cable multichannel communications systems requires knowing the permissible and expected values of the signal-to-noise ratio in the television channel not only at the output of the video circuits but also in the line circuits. The method of calculating these quantities is based on data of the communication-line length, the prescribed signal-to-noise ratio in the video circuits at the output of the standard line, and the characteristics of the line amplifiers of the transmission system. A general method is described for determining the permissible and expected noise immunity of the television signal in the line and video circuits of multichannel communications systems.
