The inductance of the high-power system in arc furnaces can be obtained by calculating the inductance of a single-phase bundled conductor. A current-density function is introduced for the cross section of a compensated bundled conductor with rectangular partial conductors. This function is represented by Fourier transforms. It is then possible to express the vector potential and the magnetic field as well as the current density by Fourier integrals. It is shown how it is possible to evaluate such integrals. With the aid of the superposition theorem it is also possible to analyze bundled conductors with tubular partial conductors.
