摘要
During extrusion polymers melts behave as non-Newtonian fluids. This paper presents results of a theoretical study in which mathematical equations have been desired to characterize the flow behavior (rheology) of plastics in Weissenberg extruder. Attention is given to the process stability which results in homogeneous polymer melts flowing through dies. The secondary flows taking place in extruder are shown the main source of process instability.
