摘要
Contemporary developments in optical communication lines (OCL), based on optical fibers and laser light sources, make such lines promising for different applications and in particular for transmission of frequency and time standards. This article uses the correlation analysis to develop a consistent method for estimation of the effect of various types of OCL noise (including the quantum noise) on the instability of the transmitted frequency when the transmitter uses the intensity modulation of the optical radiated signal. Contributions of principal types of OCL noise to the instability are estimated.
