摘要
A new ionic diol, potassium-S-1,2-dihydroxypropyl thiosulfate, TDOL, was synthesized by the nucleophilic attack of thiosulfate ions on 3-chloro-propane-1,2-diol. TDOL was used subsequently in step-growth polymerization to give a polyurethane ionomer. Both TDOL and the polyurethane ionomer were characterized by microanalysis, i. r. and n. m. r. The solubility characteristics of an ionic and non-ionic polyurethane in various liquids were determined.
