摘要
To determine the activity of iron oxide in slag, a new type of cell was designed. The electrochemical measurement was carried out for a binary FeO-SiO//2 system by using a solid electrolyte. The standard free energy change determined is expressed as DELTA G degree equals minus 56 750 plus 11. 2 tau for the reaction, Fe( gamma ) plus 1/2 O//2(g) equals FeO( iota ). The activity of iron oxide obtained shows good agreement with literature data.
