摘要
The pyroelectric vidicon is an infrared sensitive camera tube which has a pyroelectric target that is electronically scanned for infrared thermal imaging. The tube is structurally similar to the one inch visible photo-conductive vidicon, but has two dissimilar features; the pyroelectric target and germanium face-plate. The target operates at ambient temperature and does not need any cooling system. Using RAM (Random Access Memory), the signal-to-noise ratio of static thermal imaging is enhanced after added 16 fields. As an aid to the observer in analyzing these thermal images, pseudo-color equipment has been built. A few examples are shown with photographs. Illustrations, graphs, and tabulations include English captions. References to English-language sources are in English.
