The homogeneity of amorphous titanium nickelide alloys obtained by irradiation with fast neutrons and by melt quenching was investigated by small-angle neutron scattering of thermal neutrons, dilatometry, and electron microscopy. It was found that the effect of small-angle scattering takes place only in the titanium nickelide that was amorphized with fast neutrons. It was shown that the inhomogeneity of this amorphous matter is caused by the formation, in the process of irradiation at 340 K, of microregions with high vacancy concentrations. The size and volume fraction of the vacancy-enriched clusters were determined.
