This review is concerned with the heat treatment of heat resisting steels, particularly those used for power generating equipment. But the data can be applied to other types of machine parts. Heat treatment of plates and welded parts, forgings, rolled and drop forged sections, and castings is discussed. Quality control of heat treatment is also considered.
