摘要
The copper alloy valve of the gas appliance is manufactured with the squeeze casting replacing the die casting under pressure. Not only are the defects of gas holes and non-metal inclusion in the die casting under pressure eliminated, but also the rate of production is increased while the cost of production is decreased. The forming process of the valve by the squeeze casting was analyzed. Based on it, the simplified pattern for calculating the forming pressure was presented and the formula was derived from the formation work method. An example was given to explain the problem. The comparison of the calculated results with the measured results shows good coincidence.
