摘要
Over the last few years there has been a great increase in the number of digital signal processing integrated circuits as the circuit densities and speeds have improved to make the functions economically feasible. Digital signal processing is slowly taking over from analogue signal processing in a wide variety of applications, but it has been limited to lower performance applications due to the lack of high speed digital signal processors until now. This article discusses the major constraints on the performance of digital signal processors and introduces a new approach to realize systems with an order of magnitude greater performance.
