Vacuum sealing casting under pressure anlnnovative process for iron casting

A new casting process has been developed. The vacuum sealing casting under pressure was applied for the ferrous castings of thin wall, high precision and smooth surface. The experimental results show that the mould of the vacuum sealing casting under pressure has very high compress strength which is higher than 650 kPa, the compress strength is 3 ∼ 4 times as high as that of the moulds of high pressure molding and V-processing. Because a larger minus pressure is formed in the cavity during filling, the melt metal has a very excellent filling ability due to the suck effect in the new casting process.
