摘要
The Ivoire system uses cameras to monitor high-speed railroads operating at 300 km/h, to quantify the density of ballast tracks on those lines and to characterize rail defects morphologically and dimensionally through image processing. The system consists of a data acquisition/storage module and a data processing module. The Ivoire project has demonstrated the possibility of using the most advanced digital image acquisition and processing methods to improve the efficiency of automating the tools of railway path surveillance and maintenance.
