摘要：
A new method of submerged arc welding is described which employs a large, tandem submerged-arc machine, special flux, and powdered iron of special grade as the filler material. Because of the higher current densities allowed by the new method, a single pass with this method is more effective and less costly than multiple passes with a conventional setup.
