摘要
In order to design robust production systems, the system performance must be analyzed under varying stochastic conditions, i.e. fluctuating demand or unreliable supply of material. To serve this purpose, either analytical or simulative approaches can be employed. The following article describes a hybrid modeling approach which combines simulative and analytical elements. In this way, it is possible to save valuable computation time in comparison to a pure simulative approach. Having started in May 2010, the hybrid techniques are developed interdisciplinarily by the Institute for Material Handling and Logistics (IFL) and the Institute of Production Science (wbk) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The research project is sponsored by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) (DFG FU 273/8-1, LA 2351/ 6-1). © Springer-VDI-Verlag GmbH & Co. KG, Düsseldorf.
