摘要
Reactive spray drying processes such as spray polymerisation are very interesting with respect to process intensification. However, research on these processes is mainly based on experiments. In this contribution, we present a single droplet model of spray polymerisation, which resolves the reaction diffusion system one-dimensionally inside the droplets of a spray. The model is able to simulate the influence of process parameters and material properties on the polymerisation result and provides important values such as number and mass average of the chain length distribution. © 2014 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
