摘要
Web services are fast emerging as the dominant means for connecting remotely executing programs by well established internet protocols and commonly used machine readable representations. Software agents are now increasingly used in commercial applications to solve complex engineering problems, and these applications often expose or make use of Web services. This paper introduces the core concepts of Web Service such as the definition, the core technology, the model and the architecture. It also introduces the main advantages of agent, proposes a service selection-oriented Web Service architecture which is based on agent, emphasizes that people should select Web Service by QoS, and finally brings forward an evaluation algorithm of QoS. The users can acquire the most ideal Web Service by this algorithm. Web Service must be able to benefit from the agent, whom makes Web Service meet the needs of users efficiently.
