Research on software process improvement model of CMM based on key factor division

According to practical problems encountered in the application of software improvement with capability maturity model (CMM), combined with actual situations in China software industry, CMM is reasonably simplified and improved from the aspects of key factors, model structure and evaluation method. Then, CMM based on factor division is proposed for the improvement of software process. The model divides the key process area of CMM into key part and non-key part. Key part inherits original key process area while non-key part introduces expert evaluation mechanism which assists key part, then a semi-structured evaluation method of software process capability is constructed to adapt to specific situations of process capability improvement of software enterprises in China.
