Analysis of brazing joints of CMCs/TC4 by Ag-Cu-Ti-Si filler

C/SiC CMCs and TC4 alloy are brazed successfully by Ag-Cu-Ti-Si filler in this research. The shear strength of the joints are tested, the interface microstructure and fracture appearance are observed by SEM method, and the microstructure is analyzed by EDS. The results show that the max. value of shear strength is 118.2 MPa, by using Ag-Cu-Ti-Si filler(Ti:Ti=1:1, wt%), while the brazing parameter is 900°C/10min.
