摘要
In the present era of intense competition within the realm of information, an essential aspect of this entails employees offering timely recommendations, enabling swift responses to organizational predicaments. Given that employees possess inherent emotional needs, the implementation of emotional leadership serves as a means to fulfill these emotional needs. Henceforth, the present study has collated pertinent scholarly references and developed a comprehensive research framework with the aim of scrutinizing the data obtained from a sample of 541 knowledge-based employees working within the financial and education sectors in China. Following the distribution and subsequent online collection of questionnaires, it was ascertained that emotional leadership has a positive influence on employees’ voice behaviors. Notably, both emotional commitment and employee self-efficacy were identified as partial mediators within this association. Additionally, the examination revealed that power distance assumes a negative moderating role in the relationship between emotional leadership and employees’ voice behavior. Hence, within organizational settings characterized by a diminished power distance among its members, it becomes imperative to employ a heightened degree of emotional leadership, while concurrently emphasizing the cultivation of employee affiliation with the organization, along with the enhancement of their self-efficacy, as integral components of effective management. © 2024, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.
