摘要
Nucor Yamato Steel has installed the Module Injection Technology developed by More srl, Italy, in the two electric arc furnaces in its Blytheville structural steel mill. This new technology exploits the thermal energy generated by the efficient combustion of the oxygen and carbon injected into the electric arc furnace for optimizing the metallurgical process. This additional energy generated during scrap melting is transferred into the steel bath by the foamy slag. The advantages of this process include lower electricity consumption, more homogeneous temperature distribution and chemical composition of the steel, lower electrode consumption and thus higher overall productivity.
