Application of representative volume element in the finite element analysis of masonry structures

摘要：
The finite element for masonry structures are reviewed. A concept of representative volume element (RVE) is proposed and the analysis of its characteristics and failure modes is conducted. A large-scale masonry wall is studied using the proposed representative volume element.
