摘要
The excess particle collection efficiency by a porous-metal substrate in an inertial impactor was investigated. Results indicated that the discrepancy between experimental data and theoretical results of particle collection efficiency is significant, especially for the case with a small nozzle diameter. This disagreement was due to excess particle collection resulting from air penetrating into the porous metal disk. The excess particle collection efficiency by the porous-metal substrate was investigated using numerical models.
