摘要
Latest strategies for electrochemical nucleic acid detection were discussed. Hybridization-based assays for single-base mismatch detection were typically limited in sensitivity by the difference in melting temperature between the duplex and the one with a single defect. Electrochemical sensors for nucleic acids offered the prospects of lower limits of detection, greater miniaturization, and the elimination of optics.
