摘要
The Dye Applications Research Group (DARG) at North Carolina State University has an ongoing project to develop on-line dyebath monitoring and control capabilities. The ability to monitor dye concentrations in a dyebath and control the rate of exhaustion and chemical addition allows for real-time corrective actions to be taken to ensure that the dyeing process yields the desired product. The development of a sequential injection analysis (SIA) system for dyebath monitoring is the next step toward developing monitoring systems capable of functioning in the industrial setting. The main objective of this work is to develop a next-generation dyebath monitoring system capable of performance equal to or better than that of the flow injection analysis (FIA) dyebath monitoring system originally developed by Lefeber1 and van Delden2 but not limited by the physical constraints associated with FIA.
