High harmonic generation in organic molecules

摘要：
The dependence of high harmonic generation (HHG) processes on the molecular properties of benzene (C6H6) and cyclohexane (C6H12) has been investigated. Their harmonic response was compared with the rare gas xenon. High static polarizability were obtained for benzene (10.3 × 10-24 cm3) and cyclohexane (11.0 × 10-24 cm3). The results showed that both molecules have similar six-carbon atom ring structures.
